I am absolutely thrilled with the portrait Jeff did of my father: it is him to a 'T'. What really impressed me is that Jeff didn't choose a conventional pose but one which really captured my dad's character. And the best thing of all: it pleased my dad too, and he's really, really hard to please!

I just wanted you to know that we lost Bracken last week. I know you'll be very sorry to hear this because you know how special he was, at least to judge from the painting you did of him. I'm so glad I had him painted when I did as it's a great comfort being able to look at him every day. I can't thank you enough for capturing our boy so well.

I am lucky enough to count Jeff as a friend and we walk our dogs together on occasion. I love his art and have been planning on getting a portrait of my dog done for some time. On showing him a recent photo of my grand daughter Marcia that I had taken and absolutely loved, Jeff informed me that he could paint it if I liked.

The result is more than my husband and I could have ever wished for. The likeness is astonishing, but the beauty of the portrait is that it seems to capture her personality through her eyes, in a way that a photograph can never do. Jeff also produced a one-off print of the portrait for me to give to my daughter and her partner - they are also absolutely delighted with the way in which it captures the very essence of Marcia. Everyone who has seen the portrait comments on how wonderful it is!

Can't wait to get our dog painted next!
